Howdy Dave, Much ice damage with all the wind up there today? I talked to Jeff over at Jeff's icominiums yesterday and he said that it really looked good so far. He said that the the ice was super smooth as far as he could see out in front of Sandy Shores which is a good thing.Wind out of the west for that area isn't so bad.I wonder what's going on down by the gap though?

a friend of mine is probably the craziest guy on the lake, he's been out fishing on 2 inches of ice in the past. he says this is the most unsafe freezeup he's ever seen. check out my pics from today in the "BE CAREFUL" thread

I will be up at Ballards on Dec 28th. Should I be concerned about the ice up there at that time? I will be in a sleeper. Also where on the lake do they usually put their sleepers? I am a first time ice fisherman. Thanks for your help.

ice was good yesterday out in front of Pine, all the resorts were pulling houses out with the GEO Trackers, it was about 7" where I set up in 21'. I saw a couple houses quite a ways further out than I was, and there were over 100 houses out there by the end of the day yesterday. Christmas should not be a problem if things keep progressing
