Well today myself, Crappie-Spense, and Dootleye were going to chase some rainbows, but we opted to try going for a drive and checking out some perch fishing instead. We arrived at the lake around 11 and were fishing shortly after. After 2 pike and one small perch, we figured the cold snap was going to kill our chances. Then Tim struck a nice fish, and then another, and soon we were in a whole new area after some leap-frogging and we were in the fish. Spense took home big-fish honors with a true donkey that adorns my freezer.... All fish were bottom-hugging and were caught on Lindy Frostee and Flyer Spoons tipped with crappie minnows...

Great day on the ice, despite my fingers still being chilled...

Close to 2lbs. of colors...

Spenser with his 14" fish...

Tim with a 13" and 13 3/8"...

No doubt.

You guys are on fire on ice!

It takes a little more skill and luck to catch quality fish like that.

You too, bud! I still can't believe you didn't bring gloves... Haha! I'll never forget the look on your face when you asked to use the Fish Trap... ;)
