I heard this has been happening all spring there. With people putting fish on the other side of the road and when they leave they quick grab them.

All I can think of is "the fish police" skit on 93x with Governor Ventura. But seriously maybe this guy thought that the fish were stunted due to over population? Craziness!

I hope this gets attention on the news. There seems to be a need to get the word out about what the fines / penalties are for this. But more importantly what the affect is on the lake that is getting abused. I would be surprised if a few of his buddies weren't involved and have some stuffed freezers as well.

one thing with these news lines is i am always curious on why they have so many over their limit, the only one i can remember is "we needed to get our moneys worth we traveled so far, we're not just keeping just 6." not saying that is an acceptable reason, just wanna see if more stupidity comes spewing out of the violators mouth or not.

Nice to hear that the CO was able to catch this guy.
I think with a blatant disrespect towards the limits this guy showed, they should permanently suspend his fishing privelages in the state and seize his vehicle and/or house as well.
Some people, apparently, just dont get why there are limits on fish. Imagine having a handful of these types of people all targeting the same lake. How long before the fishery collapses?
