i thought i would start a thread here where we can save money on beef, pork, fish, or poultry items around town. when the price is right, it's time to stock up.

Cub has chicken thighs or roasting chickens for 99 cents per pound. they also have pork spare ribs for 1.88 per pound. Rainbow has boneless chicken breasts or boneless skinless thighs in family pacs for 1.89 per pound. County Market has boneless beef chuck roasts for 2.98 per pound. so far that is what i see for good buy's. good luck.

Good thread indeed. I should have jumped on pork about 2 weeks ago. I saw port shoulders for $1.38/pound at Cashwise and hesitated. I have about 3 weeks to find a good deal on pork for making sausage when my dad comes out.

Thanks Reinhard, great time to stock up for some winter smoking.

Going to Upper Red in a few weeks and some smoked ribs to take along would be nice.
