Does anyone know how the ice is looking out there? I am hoping to be able to fish the bay out from park point this weekend.

6 inches ice. Be careful. Things change regularly out there.

I personally wouldn't plan on the harbor yet. We have had cold weather but with the Lakers still going in and out of the harbor there has been a lot of water movement. I would try some area lakes like, Fish, Rice,Island. Just be safe and good luck.

I've tried rice, caribou and grand so far this year with zero luck. Rice was good for eyes in july but i dont know where to fish on the lakes up here. This is only my second winter living in Duluth.
My brother is coming up this weekend and i'd teally liketo put us on some pike/eyes. What is my best bet?

Any advise is appreciated, thanks alot

all the lakes Papa's Ship mentioned are great places to fish. check with Charlstroms Baits on current bites. Grand can be good for panfish and pike also. People are going out from Silver Fox on Boulder. good luck.

A coworker drives over from superior and he said there were a few houses out on the Wisconsin side of the river. I think i will take my drill out tonight or tomorrow night and see how thick the ice is. I will report my findings back here.
