2013 Rainy River Ice Out

going to plan on a to clementsons in about 3 weeks if we can get on the river i can t get on there wedsite for some reason. Wondering if any of you guy know if it would be better to stay there or in baudette

If you can get a open cabin at Clementsons and afford it, I would take it. Nice and close to Frontier.
I stayed there many times and the cabins are nice, clean, place to sleep and have a good meal. Heck if you are lucky, the bay could be open and you can get to the river from there. Good luck.

This is what Clementson had posted a week ago.
Some open water
Feb 28, 2013 Fishing Reports: The dam in International Falls was opened a bit recently and opened the river to mile marker 175. This is just west of Loman. Birchdale is 19 miles further to the west. This was a nice push, and a warm forecast helps. No daily trips just yet, but it may be coming soon. We have a river map on our site. Main page, look to right side. This will help see where Im referring to.
