Does anyone know the thickness of ice around whitefish chain? And how much snow there is on top? I plan on going up this weekend, wondering if ill need a snowmobile.

Almost three feet of ice on most lakes and the snow isn't too bad. 4WD, wheelers or snowmobile would be fine. By the weekend a lot of the snow will have settled/melted so travel shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck!

I was just on Dagget last weekend. Didn't need an extension but got the auger down to near the handle. 4wd or a sled is a must.
