It was a Zoo at Mc Quade yesterday but people were catching a few fish here & there. Some on Floating Wax Worms/Crawlers, some on spoons. Never saw a bobber go down, but I was only there for 2 hrs.

I'm hitting the French in the morning. It's been over 2 weeks since I have been down there so I'm ready to drown some crawlers!

Well 5 hours of cool fresh air this morning. Oh and not a bite. I counted 18 other people out there and saw only 3 fish caught and all by two guys fishing together. They must have had the right moo joo.

So the streams are still ice eh? I was kind of planning a trip this weekend, sounds like it'd be a shore casting thing, huh? Even the Lester and the Madge?

a fellow LSF"member called me this morning from Duluth and he was at the lift bridge to check out whats going on there as far as fishing off the pier. the gate is open on that side. he was there for one hour and seen one coho caught. he then called me from the Lester and saw a few guys fishing there. no fish were caught. he said the water there is starting to run but is very muddy looking. still not fishable though as far as the stream itself. he is going to take a run up to Two Harbors and fish the breakwall some and check the rivers in-between and then head back home back here. good luck.
