Any idea how thick the ice cover is on the lakes around here?
Any guesses as to when the harbor will be thick enough for foot traffic?

A buddy told me Rice had 5.5" yesterday

Charlstrom's has been selling bait, people must be getting out on the smaller lakes and or bays. I haven't heard much for ice thickness though.

I work on conners point on the superior side..harbors got a long way to go..not much for ice,if any on the superior side..ice has formed on the park point shore line..open water for 100 yards either side of the channel as of Monday..i swung by boyscout and 131st st w on the river to see how the ice was forming..wanted to check ice thickness a few yards out but didnt have a spud bar on me...things are freezing up nice..everywhere looks fairly solid. i think the winds making ice shift a bit around the shore....i was thinkin about tryn rice lake this weekend as well..
