I was able to get out on the ice tonight and it was an awesome night, my friend and I were on a small lake by Bemidji targeting eyes at about 3:00 my friend pulled up a 15 1/2 inch crappie and we knew it was going to be a good night. We ending up catching about 20 crappies in about an hour and a half and then they just shut off. The smallest fish we caught was about 13 inches, they were all giants. We were in 18 FOW using lindy frostees and ratlin flyers. It was a cold but great evening on the ice.
Ya slush was really bad! Hopefully this cold weather will help. There was about 8-10 inches of ice and about 4-6 inches of slush and 6-8 inches of snow. We walked out, I think now it would be somewhat difficult with a wheeler.
Nice Good call on the jig the Demon red or pink Glow with a green glow by the eyelet. My favorite Jigs
