Sorry for the late report but had to come back straight to plowing n work. Went up Saturday through Monday out of west winds, fished 9-10 feet closer to shore through spider Johnsons rentals. We had four guys in two two man sleepers and got 35 walleye. Night bite was best with red glow, plain red hooks n glow hooks. Right on the bottom was the ticket with fat heads. Very pleased with the shack n numbers of fish, all walleye were under 21 inches.

Rented one of Chad Benson's sleeper houses for the 7th year in a row.

Action was excellent...We never had a mind blowing rush of fish, but never went more than about 15 minutes without some sort of action. We threw back quite a few 12-15 inchers and kept a nice bunch of 16-191/2" Walleyes.

Tried nearly everything in the tackle box at times, but the simple set lines with a plain red hook and small Fathead was by far the best.

Have fun out there everyone!!

Thank you, Chad & Thad for another fantastic Red Lake outing...Can't wait for next year already!

Fished 1/9-1/11 out of Alpine Rentals, using JR's landing. Had 8 guys in two houses, 13 FOW. Had to move around and work our tails off to scratch out fish but caught enough to stuff ourselves silly on Sat night and take 2 home each. My buddy even found a fat 12 inch Red Lake Crappie and a nice 17 inch Whitefish!

Fish never settled into a pattern. We caught them on just about every other lure we tried, but we did exclusively catch our fish on Emerald Shiners which we were ecstatic to find at Taber's bait in Bemidji.

Cleaned our fish at JR's. Even with the slower bite it was incredible to see the numbers of fish that come out of that lake in one day, at just one access, and that's just the guys who decided to clean fish there!

Jerome from Alpine was great to work with and houses were very comfortable and well-equiped. Can't blame him for a tough bite!

We packed up early on Sunday morning and decided to hunt for some slabs. We hit a lake that had been on our list for a while and we were rewarded with limits for all in less than 2 hours. Just awesome fishing with several fish going over 13" on the board.
