Opener plans

Hey guys what's u game plan for this years opener in the brainerd lakes area? My plan is to fish the gull chain on the north west side towards and in the channels.

Haha that's why I'll be out at 12am to avoid the morning crowd. I'm sure Dayton won't be out at that hour lol.

Actually, yes, he will be out at midnight. It has become a tradition for the gov to head out at midnight, at least for a while, along with a bunch of media. I don't think it will be a long trip, however.

This morning the Lt. Gov. said on the radio that both she and Dayton will be out at midnight, for a couple of hours. She also said they'd be out in the morning for a couple hours as well. I'm sure it would be fairly busy regardless.

I fished Waconia 2 years ago when the Gov was there. Not busy at all.

I'll be on Gull. I think he scares people off.

Crappie fishing in the channels and wind sheltered bays on an area lake. Not anywhere near Gull, or Nisswa for that matter.

Good luck to those chasing marble eyes.
