I was thinking of maybe trying lake pepin this weekend for some walleye and was just wondering if my boat will work. Im not gonna go unless conditions are ideal and its pretty calm. Its a 16ft with a 25hp and trolling motor and humminbird 788.Thanks!!

Half the boats running the river and backwaters look like yours. You should find plenty Of calmer water if you need to. I have a crestliner 1600 and was out in choppy water two sundays ago. You'll be fine.

I'm probably going to take a bunch of flap for this, but I have to ask "what's with all the stuff hanging off your prop"?

Ya i made it out saturday fished from 12-6 and thanks to the advice from the guys at 4 season sports in red wing we didnt do too bad! Ended up with 5 keepers 15-18" and about 5 more smaller eyes. I had a blast for the first time on the river and I was really suprised to do that good. Thanks again everyone for their input!!

broman- i live on a shallow litte lake and that pic was right after a little test run. We have our own little boat landing thats why the weeds are still on there.
