I can't get my boat out of storage until April 15th. This weather is killing me right now. You will find me down there shortly after its out.

Just got my boat out and ready to go. I won't make it this week as we are making a trip up to Lake of the Woods one last time to do some ice fishing. I hope to make it down there next week though. Will be the first time I have my own boat on the river.

It sure feels like river when you wake up in the morning, doesn't it?

It's still pretty early though. The bite is generally a bit slow until the flow starts to come up some and get em movin in full force.

There are always fish to be caught though. Right now the evenings/mornings and even night time would be your best bet.

Either way, it's beautiful to be out there when the weather is this nice.

I heard this weekend was pretty slow...maybe the consistency of temps will help the bite out a bit!

I was out on Friday and Saturday (weighed 3 fish in the FYB for 12th). Friday was better, Saturday was real tough. All the fish were very healthy/fat, and no eggs dropping as of yet. We personally threw back all the fish we caught both days as they obviously had not spawned yet, and would encourage others to do so as well.

Wish I could take another day off to run down during the week, but am happy the Mrs. gave me the go ahead for next Saturday even if it is bumper boats.

The water level is low, so watch out for the Wing Dams icebergs, and deadheads which will pickup with the thaw.
