Not sure about Briggs, but Rush Lake had 5 inches on it last night out about 100 feet from shore.

I fished Elk New Year's Day. 3-7pm. No luck. Tried lots of colors and combos, never even had a mark on the flasher.

Anyone having any luck on Briggs? How much ice is there? I've never fished it but heard good things about it! Where do you enjoy setting up? Do they have wheelers out there yet? How deep?

Was on briggs for the morning and evening bite today. Walked out in the morning. Found 6 inches of ice (measured with a tape measure). One small pike in the morning. Took the four wheeler this evening and went farthere to the north end. Got about a dozen small 7 to 8 inch crappies n one that was close to 11 plus 2 small 12 inch walleye. Slowed after dark and all fish were released

Fishing has been slow and the few fish caught are small. Tons of people.

Anyone have a report on elk? I haven't had a time to get down there and check it out. Heard it's usually good early ice time but we're about mid winter now.
