Well the Wild beat the Ave's tonight so maybe they do sneak into the playoffs. With that, Vikings don't win the Super Bowl. Twins will be entertaining this year for sure. I think they may possibly be teasing us through August. Mostly I'm along the protocol with you Brian. Only thing different, I'd be sipping on a Summit instead of the Windsor but the destination would be the same.

The twinkies definitely had some timely hitting last year and probably finished better than they should have. But I think we will see some great development from our young guys this year and see the same record or a slight improvement. I'm thinking 82-87 wins and an outside shot at the WC. Royals take the division again.

I think Sano is going to be a beast this year. Buxton will take some time to get off the ground, but he will come into form in June/July and if he really figures it out he will take Rookie of the Year. Pitching will be improved from last year simply because of stability, but it will still be bad.

I'm excited to see what Park has in the MLB. He absolutely tore it up overseas, but we've seen imports fail many times in the MLB after success overseas.

If we can see 20+ HR from Dozier, Sano, and Park and a .290+ BA from Buxton and Mauer in the top of the line-up, we might see 90+ wins. That is not super likely though... just dreamin' here.

Starting rotation (likely) -

Hughes
Duffey
Malone
Santana
Gibson

Seriously, that is it. 90 win season, I don't think so. Sano is a good story, but even at the end of last year, the MLB pitchers had figured him out. He will be exciting at times, but will get owned this year by good pitching. Park, in Korean league, 160+ strike outs in 140 games, translate to MLB, 200 strike outs. Mauer, blurred vision, his days of hitting better than .280 are done, and with no power he will be a 6-7-8 hitter at best. Still think they will be fun to watch, but if anyone sees a playoff team here, they have the red and blue glasses on.

I believe Torii being gone will hurt this team so we will have less wins than last year.
No mention of Park yet? Will he get more home runs than Sano?

Twins win Spring Training Opener 7-4 over Boston.....World Series bound for sure!!!

Park 0-3 with 3 strikeouts and 3 runners LOB.....I am guessing he will look like a hack in the MLB, worse signing than Nishioka? We will see?

I don't think anyone could be worse than Nishioka? I can turn a double play better.

My opinion on Park is pretty low. I think we had plenty of guys already who can hit 12-15 homeruns with 100+ strike outs. Another DH? I really don't know what Ryan was thinking on this one.

Nishioka? I'm pretty sure their hope was that they found the next Ichiro. Park? If I remember, they gambled far fewer dollars to get him than (Ichiro) Nishioka. Who knows, he could "shock the world".
