By the way, Teddy has a higher career completion percentage, even with a higher pressure rate, oh and career records -

Bridgewater 12-8; Carr 7-17

Just sayin....

It doesnt matter what ANY other analyst said about anything. You asked what I would have done and I told you. It turns out that I was correct. Carr is 10x the QB Toilet will ever be.

You can possibly compare them by team records. Up until last year Carr had no team whatsoever. I suppose you want to compare completion percentage too??? That's real fair when Toilet lets it fly about a full 5 yards at a crack. Carr lets it rip down the field cause most of the time he has nothing to lose.

Really!! Peyton Manning just won the Superbowl with a per completion average of 6.1 yards, and you are going to use that as your reasoning that Carr is better, ummmm, OK.

Can't argue with you anymore, cuz I didn't hear you on draft day say that Carr was better than Bridgewater.

I didn't hear you during the Timberwolves draft day to draft Steph Curry either, that was an excellent call on your part.

First off, get your head out of the Vikings' butt's because you're going to get your neck broke when they fall on their asses again next year.

Second, go back and read Buck's post about how every 20 years a defense wins a super bowl and that will answer your Manning question.

Third, no one here on LSF makes millions of dollars drafting players for pro teams. Sure hindsight is 20/20 but the Queens have made some really bad picks even the blind could see were bad and Pondwater and Toiletwater are two of them. Spielman should be fired for the picks he has made since he came to the Queens. Don't even give me the Harrison Smith or Peterson picks as evidence this guy knows what he's doing. He ruined Miami and now he's doing it to the Queens. Good thing they have a coach who finally knows what he's doing.

I'm just glad I gave up on the Queens long ago and can laugh at those who really think they won't disappoint you again and again.

F6 you cant ask for our "Expert GM answers" then get mad when your proved wrong. I can tell you personally I didn't like teddy when they took him and I dislike him even more now.

And guys, you're missing the lay up here, how about burning a 12th overall pick on Ponder! I hated that even more than the teddy pick. So far both have proved me right.

So lets look at Speilman's great picks

2011
12th overall he took Ponder. In the same draft Dalton & Kaepernick were both 2nd rounders. Ryan Mallet was a mid 3rd guy. Great pick there.

2014
32nd he chose limp arm Teddy over Carr (who is obviously way better) and Garroppolo who were both 2nd rounders. AJ McCarron went in the 5th round that year, and he looks better than Teddy too.

Also don't forget Peyton Manning was a FA a few years back, and we didn't even try for him.

So there 7 guys he could have taken to fix the problem. Don't tell us there's nothing he can do.

Dober - first off, I never said the Vikings were going to win, to that topic is off base.

Your second point - the Vikings are built on the predication of a superior defense, and a running game. So your point supports that. And go back in history and look, the team with the better defense usually wins the superbowl, that's why professional bettors bet on the better defense.

And your third point - never said either of those QB's were good, but where the Vikings drafted, the overwhelming consensus by people who do get paid millions, the Vikes took the best QB available to them. WHAT OTHER OPTION DID THEY HAVE? That is my point. None of these armchair GM's can answer that question, without their 20/20 hindsight glasses on.

I am not saying Speillman is good or bad either, but he was forced to pick both of those QB's at the positions he did, well he actually moved up to get Bridgewater, which can be questioned. But, fact is, I care who the GM would have been those years, 99% of them would have made the same decisions, cuz there weren't any better ones.

Tell you what, look at all of Genius Teddy Thompsons draft picks, all of them. Now take out Rodgers falling 20 spots to his pick, and I will give him PED Matthews. Now tell me how great of a job Genius is doing. Horsecrap, I will take the picks Rick took over those any year.

Great to argue about, and make grandiose statements, but those miracle players you think they should have picked were not there.

Pickle - I have not been proved wrong. Show me something dated, that lists those QB's you listed as ranked higher than Ponder or Bridgewater. You won't find it. That's the point, hindsight is 20/20.

2011 - The Vikes HAD to pick a QB. Krappernick can't even find a team that wants him anymore because he is dumb and his accuracy is horrible. Dalton is good, better than Ponder, but was rated lower pre-draft by the analysts. Mallett has not done anything, irrelevant. Ponder was the consensus best performance that the combine that year.

2014 - Again, they HAD to draft a QB. Teddy was the #1 ranked QB, Manziel #2. Carr was ranked 5th, and had a horrible bowl game against a good defensive team. Garrapalo was ranked in the top 5. McCarren was ranked 4 but what has he done.

Manning said he would not go to the Vikings because he wanted to go to a contender, and they would have had to do some funny work to get him under the cap. Not even worth discussing.

And minus Manning, which could never have happened, none of those other 6 guys your mentioned have done anything to prove they would have done a better job. Nothing.

You proved nothing, except that you can look back and say this and that, no proof, none of them have won anything either.
