Going out in Cambridge tomorrow to see if i can find some fish. Since the water is down for this time of year, i'm going to try some deep holes for some walleyes and some rock piles for some smallies'. Anyone been out on the rum yet this year?

Slow day fishing today on the rum. Got out around noon and tried the deep holes and log jams without any luck. Finally set up on the edge of an eddy on rocks and managed a 16" walleye and a decent smallmouth back to back. Nothing after that. Both fish were caught on a 1/4 oz. Yum jig head and a 5" Cajun Neon Yum Dinger. Packed up around 5 and headed to speck lake for some panfish. Ended up catching around 50 sunnies jumping from dock to dock, most of which were small girls.

I ended up just floating and grilling with the little free time I had yesterday. Are new house and projects are cutting into my fishing time. Yesterday was the busiest I have saw that stretch.

Got out twice the 1st week in June. Nothing one trip but did catch a nice 17.5 " eye the 2nd trip north of Cambridge. Thought I'd do better with the lower water. Probably try it again soon.

Anyone been out fishing in the Cambridge area recently? Thinking of heading up there soon. Are there any shore/wading areas that are worth coming up from the cities or is it a must to have a canoe or small boat? Thanks for the help.

Since the water is up and dirty I would take a boat instead of wading. There are plenty of city and county Parks to shore fish if you do not have a boat though.

Ok. Was planning on mostly shore fishing at central and then hit the parks going south. Hopefully I can run into a few.

Didn't have any luck that last trip. Water was very high and stained from all the rain we've had. Also, I'm not very experienced fishing in current so that didn't help. Going to make a few more trips up there and try and run into something.
