For some reason the distance that the remote for my Terrova has decreased from the back of the boat to the only working near the front of the boat. I have replaced the batteries in the remote, twice and there doesn't seem to be any difference. Brand new the remote worked with no issue in the back of the boat. Has anyone else had this issue? Any fixes?
Thanks-

What remote do you have? The Ipilot link, Ipilot, or the Micro link remote? Also have you updated software if you have the link?

It is the I-pilot remote.

I emailed the company yesterday and they said it was either a voltage drop that could be decreasing the range or a bad sender unit and it would need to be replaced.

I guess I will sit in the front of the boat.

Whenever I had issues with my regular ipilot remote is was because my tm batts were going bad or weak. If get them checked.

Make sure it is a CR2450N battery and not a CR2450 even though that is what is called out in the manual. Not sure what the difference is but I have also have issues with batteries and switched to the CR2450N and it when away. No Panasonic brand either.

"N" is a little thicker and makes a better connection!
