Female Fishing Question

This is kind of an odd question. When I am out fishing with the guys and we need to relieve our bladders it is a pretty easy thing to do as a man. I am bringing my wife up in the fall and want to know any magic solutions for her if she would need to go. Anything but go back to the cabin and cut the fishing short.

they sell a hand held jug, I think its called a little jon. they also sell the female adapter for it. I think it allows them to relieve themselves while standing up, but I wouldn't know for sure.

They use the livewell in my boat. Any fish we keep just goes in the baitwell then.

Not an odd question at all.....

When I have made all day fishing trips with my wife I have a porta-john (red jug) that I use that also has the female adapter. It did not overly excite my wife so most of the time she limited liquid consumption and has a bladder of steel.

I still keep that in the boat but also have a 5 gallon bucket if need be.

One thing to remember, it doesn't hurt to have a neutral colored towel or blanket with....something that doesn't draw attention to others on the water screaming...."Look at me pee!".....or at least my wife is that way.

I have had a couple of friends who had dual livewells in their boats turn one of them into a makeshift #1 only potty for their wife/kids as it is easy for them and leaving the plug out....enough water cycles in and out that it flushes right out.....unfortunately, my boat doesn't have dual livewells for this solution.

My woman won't board the boat without it

The wife has one of these, allows her to leak like the boys. She recommends practicing in the shower, as apparently there is a trick to it. She's been using it on Rainy River trips in the spring for years. They can be found on the shelves of the sporting goods dept at Walmart, and we've noted them at some of the big box sporting goods stores as well.
