BEST:

Jiffy Propane Auger
JM 5000 insulated hub shelter (not loving the 5 sided shape though)
Big Buddy Heater
Marcum Flashers (any flasher vs none at all really)

WORST:

Several of the non-insulated Clam shelters I've had in the past
Anything and Everything from HT - cheap Chinese junk

A tip on heaters I have learned over the years-I own both a big buddy heater as well as a sunflower style heater that connects to a 20lb propane tank. The big buddy heater does well most of the time for me but when it gets bitterly cold I like to bring the sunflower heater instead. It does a much better job keeping the fish house at a comfortable temp. I think we're all itching to get on the ice again! It'll be here before we know it.

Best:
Otter fish houses
Vexilar
St. Croix Avid Glass Rod
Shimano Sienna reel
Lindy Rattln Flyer
Tungsten jigs
Jiffy propane auger
Big buddy heater
Ice Armor Edge gloves

Worst:
Any type of HT stuff (Get what you pay for)
I like most of the CLAM stuff especially the tungsten jigs and blade spoons but the tackle has gotten so expensive I am starting to look elsewhere. Don't feel like paying $5 for a little tungsten jig.

Best: These items were game changers for me.
Flasher
Tungsten jigs
St. Croix spring bobber.
Insulated shelter.
Quality reel and rod.
Navionics app.

Worst: Complete waste of time and money.
Easy Bite Bobber. Still in package 5 years after buying it.
Clam chair.= "Tippy Chair".
Jiffy Model 30 auger. "what?!"
Marcum hand held depth finder. Like I am going to carry a jug of water with me.
Clam rope lights. Half didn't work out of both packages. Very dim.
Clam LED fan light. Fan rattled out of the package.
Any rod/reel combo under $40.

One big game changer for me was the marcum handheld depth finder.....

I fish a lot of lake trout, and finding the breaks/points offshore would require a LOT of hole drilling. The handheld lets me dial in and then drill just a handful of holes to fish instead of drilling like a madman. Very useful tool in my situation.

You might want to revisit that handheld depth finder. You can check a lot of spots with a small bottle of water. How do you check now, drill? Any locator will check thru the ice if it's not too cloudy then none will work. I wouldn't think of plopping the house down without pinpointing the spot with a depth finder. The handhelds make it easier than screwing with a whole box and transducer. I've had 2 kinds and found the Mar Cum to be a little better than the blue one I had. With cloudy or dirty ice you're forced to drill but why do it when this is so easy?

Worst by far was the Eskimo Fatfish949I. Actually very disappointed with a house I saved money for and was my large purchase last year. I was so excited for the "First" time out , then it hit, a 10 mph gust , no kidding, and the wind side hub popped in and knocked over my poles into my minnow bucket and tipped over my minnows onto the ice...😡😡😡 every time out for the rest of the season even if there was no wind I tied down the windward side with cam straps. Needless to say I brought it back to FF and returned it. The rods are so sm in diameter and flex with the slightest of wind. If you're looking at hubs I strongly suggest to look at the poles and test them at the stores before you make a big purchase especially insulated .
Best purchase ..can't go wrong with Northland puppet minnows. I must have every size color in the market
