Saw a few trucks on several lakes off 34 today. Went spearing and had this aggressive little fella come in. She darted under my hole out of nowhere, mouth open and grabbed my decoy, shook it around and tried to take off with it. I pulled her back under, she still wouldn't let go, and I made a lucky throw while she wrestled with it. I got my decoy back and dinner!

Great pic! It sounds like traffic on the ice is picking up.

Gettin' a few in the Annandale area. 12" of ice. Mostly shiners on rattle reels. Let 2 dinks go.

Dam weather, how are the conditions out there after this warm up.

I was out on Beebe last night. Ice was a little over 15in. Kinda soft though, auger cut fast. Drove my Ranger pickup as there were several 1/2 tons out. With no snow on top, the ice sure looked ugly, but it held!

Think things should be ok, with temps below freezing again at least. Suppose just stay away from the normal iffy spots, aka, the millcreek area on Buffalo!!

Ice was fine on Dog yesterday and people were driving. I know I want to get on Buffalo but that north access would scare me right now.

How was the access at Bebe? I am taking a wheelhouse out there this weekend. I was out a week or so ago and it was ok but unsure now. Last time I was out there was 16 inches so hope there is still enough to get my house out. Thanks

I think it should be ok for a house, but I just use a portable. There are other ones out there.

Wow, 61-62 in St.Michael now! Better get out there while we can! T-shirt weather. We'll see how that 16in of ice holds up here with 5+ days in the 50's coming up.
