So from the looks of it. The DNR adding another season to kill as many deer as possible, for more sampling and I'm assuming to take care of the possibility of more cases of the disease?

They did the same thing in Pine Island. One tested positive, killed 1,000 deer and not one additional deer tested positive for CWD. Sad deal.

Typical knee-jerk reaction from our MN DNR.

I have heard a some indicate they would like to test some additional deer either because they hunt near the infected area or hunt near a deer farm. I'm hoping hunters harvest enough deer to satisfy the DNRs goal vs. our tax dollars and license fees paying for sharp-shooters.

That said, if anyone would like an additional hunter (bow or shotgun) to help harvest deer, please message me. Responsible, ethical hunter residing just west of Rochester.
