I don't think so. The problem seems to be a lot of cracks in the ice.

3 of us and 1 kid fished Wed. afternoon through Saturday. We fished in 25-28 f.o.w. We kept between 7 and 10 a day which Arnesens cooked for us for dinner on two nights and left some for us to take home. Our biggest was just under the slot and 4-5 were between 16-18 inches. We caught a mixture of saugers and walleyes. We also caught 2 nice perch some tullibees and 2 eelpout. Jace and John were our guides and they were both great. The fish were not on fire but they were steady. I would highly recommend them.

Did they have you on or near structure? Hard bottom? We go up two weeks from today.

Nice. Last year we were kinda used as guinea pigs our 1st 1.5 days on mud in the middle of nowhere. 4 marks total. But credit to them we got moved to hard bottom & had good fishing our last 1.5 days.

I requested to be over hard bottom but not sure if they'll accommodate us. If there's a good, known, proven mud bite then that's good. Just hope we don't become a "scout this spot out" party again.

Just got off the lake. Had a good day. The two of us caught 23 total and kept 9. Biggest was 17". Got out just after 8am and things started slow then picked up 9:30 - 10:00. The bite went in waves until about 2:45 when it pretty much shut down. The jigging rod caught probably twice the fish as the deadstick . Didn't go out very far because of the storm. They put us a little further than half way between rocky point and gull rock in 28 fow. Pink white and blue worked well. Talking to guides and others on the way in, it sounded like we had a little better luck than others.

We are in a sleeper now in 28 fow. So far 4 of us got started late Sunday afternoon and we caught only a few walleye. Today the fish bit off and on all day to 4:30. We caught probably 40 to 50 walleye and only one sauger. Dead sticks with a red hook caught most of the fish. Needed to be working a rattle spoon to bring them in. Some were caught on glow red flyers and rattle spoons in green and red. Biggest was 18 inches. Most were 13-17 inches. Caught 4 nice perch too. We are here two more days.
