I was on East Rush yesterday. 10" of good quality ice.
There are a few small perms out. There were at least 12 pickups and suburbans out there. One truck pulled out a 70's looking camper trailer. Way too much weight in my eyes. but noone went through so I guess it is ok.

There is almost no snow so cleats and chains are recommended. I have chains on the back only of my atv and could not turn till we hit snow or rough ice.

I set up over 20' and did well from 3:30 on. Left at 7.

Anyone have any walleye action? If so what is the target depth range? I was out on east and had a few in 18' last week.

I was out on Monday 1/2. We found a mix of sunfish, crappies, and small walleyes in the 18-20 foot range on structure breaks. Sunfish were biting on waxies and small crappie minnows. The crappies and walleyes bit around dark on small crappie minnows.

Thanks riverbasher, sounds like a fun trip. We're probably going to start on west and move if necessary! Will be bringing the portable and heater for sure this time... supposed to be cold tomorrow.
