Both Flickabirds and Rush Lake Resort charge $5 for a day lake access pass.

Bandersnatch,

I was up Sunday mid to late afternoon and did great. Actually the last few times I have not had any issues with catching a limit of nice 10-12.5 inch crappies. Fish have been fairly agfressive in my houses. It been a fun time. Thinking about heading up again tonight. For me, seems like the bite is within a certain time frame. Otherwise all you have are lookers and sniffers, no takers.

As for the snow and ice, it was kinda hard and lumpy on Sunday. Basically need a truck if you were gonna drive off the road at places. I'm sure with this warmup this week, it's gonna start getting wet and sloppy for a lot of people. Tight lines.

I was out from 3-8 pm today I had 8 holes with in a 45 foot span ranging from 8' to 35' deep. Lots of crappies from 25' to 35' sorting to get a few 10 - 11'' and perch 12' to 25'. I figured the eyes would move in after dark, nope nothing.

Anyone know what depths to target walleyes seeing good numbers in the DNR surveys but struggling to locate them?

Warm weather is melting some of the snow pack with a few slushy spots here and there on the roads. 15'' - 16'' of ice.

Thanks Wayne!

Seeing the depths I'm assuming that you were on West Rush.

In the past the Walter has been in about the same spots as the Crappie for me. Usually fished around the edges of the hole in front of Cigar island.

Last few years ice time I have spent over on the East lake though, for Crappies.

Hope you aren't ankle deep in water today!!

I was thinking about it, HARD, but then decided to wait for a refreeze.

I got here about 11am. Broken dishwasher prevented me from coming up Friday night.

17" of ice under the perm.

Ice is pulling away from shore. About 3 inches of a gap.

I left here Monday at 3pm. I did not have to redrill holes.

I have some standing water around me. But my perm is a beast. I hope once I move my truck away from the house it gets better.

Lots of people out here. Several guys are doing remodel projects.

If you out on East Rush look for the tall perm on the north end of the village. As always look for Ole Glory out on the house.
