The bite was steady from 5pm - 10pm. Finicky and lite bite. Could get them to follow easily then it was a battle. Tried dead stick, though a bunch of different jigs, minnows etc.

Had one Pike come through suspended. Had a fun battle for 3 min then he snapped my 3lbs line. Got one of my favorite Tungsten lures.

Got a few and sent them back for more fun next time.

They stacked up nice on the flasher. Lots of time is was twice as full as what is in the pic.

This is the access at Rush Lake Resort Saturday 28th.

This was after several days of below freezing temps.

Hopefully we have better ice now that this warm spell is passing/

I imagine it was way crappier up the road at the public launch, with that little creek right next to it!!

Anyone else have a perm on Rush? I was leery of leaving mine out there. I talked to Flickabirds and they said with 20" of solid ice things are good to go for next weekend. They said the biggest concern is the landing not the ice in the middle of the lake as far as getting houses off. That makes sense.

I have not had a perm before so I am nervous about having it out there as it gets so warm out. I had planned on staying out for the up coming 3 day weekend. Now I think I may be having it pulled off.

So of the folks who have a perm house what is your trigger to pull it off the ice?

I was out on east this weekend with my ice castle. I'm not sure I would of wanted to leave it out all week. I think there landing is going to go before the ice in the middle ever will. They had a lot of sand on by there landing when I drove off I would bet that is going to help it melt by there ramp

Flickabirds pulled the bigger houses off last night. The rest were coming off today. The shore is already pulling away.

They left my cribbing out there so I went to get it and was able to kick a hole open from last weekend to catch two last fish for the season. It will be metro fishing for me from here on out.

Till next year, it's always a sad day when a guy puts away the house for the year.
