Our crew of 10 had 3 sleepers Friday to Sunday. Was fishing by 7:30am on Friday morning. Very slow, almost all had electronics and didn't mark many fish all day. Between all of us we cleaned 12 fish. Surprisingly the deadsticks caught most of the fish we did manage. Saturday was unfortunately worse. Very few fish marked on the vexilars. We ended the day with 7 cleaners and 1 pout. We threw the tackle box at em too, flyers, rattlers, stop signs, raps, you name it. Just a bad weekend of fishing all around. We were in 29 feet of water smack dab in the middle of the day houses.

My guys were out there the same time also. Similar report. Slower action. 2 pout, hand full of eaters, but nothing to brag about. Still a great weekend though.

It was tough fishing, 4 of us kept 24 Friday and 18 on Saturday. Saturday was defiantly a dead stick day.

Ditto on the West side. Still a ton of fun, a good meal for the group and a few fish to take home.

My group fished 5th-8th over the sand bar at Cyrus. We were in 17-18ft of water. 26 fish on Thursday (21 eyes, 4 saug). 21 on Friday (9 eyes, 11 saug, 1 pout). 21 on Saturday (13 eyes, 8 saug). 7 on Sunday morning off ice by 10:30 (2 eyes, 5 saug). Caught our only slot fish on Sunday morning, 22.5 inches.

We were in a sleeper (Steve Sweet's Sleepers) and had 5 guys. We didn't feel like moving and judging on the reports we were hearing/reading wasn't much better than what we had. Still came home with a limit each.

Deadstick worked best with orange hook or white jighead. Had some luck on the green hook, but not much. Bite was almost completely shut down by 3pm with only 2 fish caught after that time.

We've had worse fishing and certainly better fishing. But can't complain when I see the number others were(n't) getting.
