After having some success last weekend my two buddies and I decided to head up to Millacs again this weekend to see if we could get on some fish again. We got up there Friday afternoon and had made the decision that we were going to stay committed to fishing shallow for the night in hopes of catching some bigger fish. We started on one reef drilling holes from 10 to 28fow and fished there for about 45 mins. We caught one 18 incher on a tip up and were not marking anything so we decided it head over to a sunkin island. We caught 4 fish there from 4-6pm there with one being a 26 incher. After that we didn't mark another fish and decided to pack it up at 9:30pm and move out deep where we had some success the week before.

This is when we really stared catching fish. We were spending the night in our portable so we just set everything up, put the rattle reels down, and went to bed. Needles to say it was a sleepless night as the rattle reels continuously went off during all hours of the night. At one point we had four rattle reels go off in a span of 15 mins from 4:45-5am. As morning came we popped 75 holes in our area and hole hopped all morning catching fish. At one point I tried to take a nap in the middle of the day but the rattles reels kept going off so I gave up on that. We fished till about 8 Saturday night and finally decided to call it quits and go home. We fished for a little over a day and ended up catching over 60 fish. Out of all 60, one was in the slot and it was caught during the final hour. Biggest fish of the trip was a 27 inch. Strange thing was the fish would not touch our tip ups at all, we caught a lot on the rattle reels and jigging but not once fish on a tip up all day Saturday. Hoping the ice doesn't deteriorate so we can get out there one more time next weekend. We had a great time on the lake and hope this fisherie can continue to be stable.

Yeah I'm too stubborn to pull up the rattle really, maybe someday. We went out on the southern portion of the lake.
