Boat Cover Question

I have an 18 foot boat and am looking to help fix the cover. It leaks water through it when it rains hard and I have looked at the waterproofing spray that is on the market to apply to boat covers. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with adding waterproof spray and if it works.

Camp dry works on my clothes and tents for camping not sure why it would not work for a boat cover.

Would flex seal work though for folding the cover up to put it away?

I would not put flex seal on anything that you don't want to replace..

When I had my boat cover repaired at Tarps Inc. in Savage, they sold me a bottle of Aqua Tite that they sell. Spray it on, brush it in and let it dry. Best stuff I have used thus far. Tarps has it for $34.95 a bottle including the sprayer. One bottle was enough to do the entire cover as well as both my one man flip over ice shacks AND my buddies hub shelter. You can also find it online and have it shipped to you.

Time for a new cover. Make sure the cover is tented with poles to allow the water to run off.

How old is the cover???What make of fabric?????Even "uv protected"material breaks down in the sun/snow/temp changes in minnesota. If your cover lasts 15 years consider it a good cover. It's going to age quick if left in sun/rain/snow all year.Uv rays are brutal!!!!!c63
