Grumpy Old Men movie is one of my favorite shows of all time! I have always wanted a Green Hornet Rod and been thinking how neat it would be to have one that was actually usable. I ran my idea by a local rod builder and he loved my idea and was willing to put my idea into action.

I think the rod builder Diamond Custom Rods is knocking it out of the park and my rod is turning out better than even I had pictured it in my head!

Let me know what you guys think?

I am also a big fan of Grumpy Old Men movies, perhaps because I am somewhat of one myself? I too had to have a Green Hornet myself so I got one that was handmade by a guy here in Minnesota. Mine however is relegated to the fireplace mantle. The one you're having made looks awsome! I would almost be afraid to use it for fishing. Remember what happened to John Gustaffsons Green Hornet in the movie?

Oh...that's right. Guess it's been too long since I watched. Might be a good weekend to pop those DVD's in again!

Maybe the green hornet was his favorite radio show back in the 30's, and for whatever reason, he decided to name his fishing pole after it. Just a little something to add some back story to a fictional character. Gonna have to dig that movie out of the DVD rack.
