Looks like the ice is finally out above and below the dams in the Fargo/Moorhead area. I could be wrong, but I was sure we still had ice on Saturday, above the dam and even between dams at the I94 overpass.

All I know is today, it's wide open, and the gate at the convent landing is open. Although there is a pile of mud on the landing as usual for this time of year.

A few adventurous souls have given it a shot though, as there are tracks in the mud. Not sure how you would get into the boat once you got it in. that shoreline is GOOSE GREASE!!

It's that time of year for reports. Once we get a bit warmer water, the fish will turn on. 50+ degrees all week this week.

Good luck guys!

@WalleyeChaser

Anywhere north of 40 they'll start to pick up and they should go nuts around 50. A friend sent me a picture of his first river walleye of the year last night. It's on!

I tried a couple different spots for eyes on Sunday without any luck but the water is still really cold yet as it was sitting at about 37-38 degrees. The 10 day forecast calls for 50+ degree temps every day so it should warm up quick. Could actually use a little wind to dry things up and get the ice off the lakes.

So who's been out recently? I've been out twice the last few days and have been getting some goldeye and a nice redhorse for the freezer. No eyes for me yet but have seen 1 small one caught. Water temp touched 50 yesterday so things should be picking up!

I see temps in GF went from 32 on friday to 44 yesterday. Looking ahead at the forecast, if all holds the kitties will be going in about a week. It can take its time some, I'm not ready yet.
