I dont know where they get the numbers. There was.one weekend there was 10k fish houses, if each house averaged 1 fish per day that is like 30,000 pounds. 109,000 seems light.

You under estimate how bad many people are at fishing. They pretty much know exactly how many fish are being taken by each person. Think about it, if you survey 300 people over a weekend don't you think you'd have a pretty good idea how the fishing was? These creel surveys cut through a lot of BS. Fishing is never as good as reports say, and there's never as many people out there as people think.

10000 fish to equal 30000 pounds means a three pound avg don't think the math adds up on your part either no way the fish AVG keeper is 3#

Weekend is 2 days 2 fish per house for a weekend equals 20000 fish at 1.5# average

So people drove all the way up to red this year to average one keeper a day? Wow glad I didn't make that trip this year.

frankly, I'm surprised by the change. When I saw the release (before I read it) I figured they were going to drop it to 2, not raise it to 4.
Maybe I'm just one of those bad fishermen...;)
