That is one nice looking rack!

I haven't been up to check mine since the day I planted the food plot Life got busy and I'm spending my spare time building a new deer stand... which is taking longer than I thought. Hopefully I'll get back up there soon.

What a stud Eyehunter09, looks like a fairly young deer as well!....If he can sneak through this year he will be a really fun one to keep eyes on....I will be up in one week to check cams again, heard our turnip plots are looking dynamite with the consistent rain in Aug.

Always want to intrude as little as possible but now is the time it really matters, bachelor groups that we are seeing throughout Aug will start breaking up and establishing hierarchy. Personally I will move almost all cams from mineral sites to previous large rub/scrapes now so they can settle in then only check mid-day when the time is to hunt.

Next couple weeks the velvet should be shedding and showing true form for what's in store....season is almost here boys!

I have a few nice ones around, but they are all pretty young deer. I'm guessing they were last year's six pointer's

I set up a camera at the inlaws new cabin earlier this summer and just checked it. It was set up on a really well beaten down game trail so I knew I'd get some action and I was hoping for some fun pictures. Well in the last 7 weeks since I set it I got 1300 pictures. All deer (besides a few random accidental trips), and all does and fawns. Not a single buck... LOL. No coyotes, bears, wolves, coons, squirrels, birds, people, or sasquatch. Couldn't believe it.

Pulled that camera and need to get it set up on the food plot asap. Hopefully this week some time.

Here is one of the last pics from my trail camera overlooking the area I harvested my bear this weekend. Couldn't believe it when I saw 4 bears on the same shot. You can see the marker sticks I pounded into the ground for sizing (all 3 feet long). The little one in the front would have been left alone but I am confident I took one of the 3 in the back of the picture.

Here's a couple nice ones from up in the 209 area.

No big bachelor groups. Does and fawns (50/50 spots and no spots) have been plentiful. Hopefully they stick around.
