FYI: Last weekend Costco had 6-7ft apple trees - including Honeycrisp for 21.99. Some were flowering. A little expensive for food plots, but it sure makes the neighbors happy in the fall.

That is a really good deal... wish I would have known about it. Although I'm thinking i'll be done planting trees for a while after all the work it was to do these spruce trees.

Acre half forage beans half acre sugar beats and about a tenth acre maybe of ladino clover in the shaded area.
All surounded by AG corn so hoping the beans hold up to the browsing into season. If not broadcast brassicas on it

1/2 acre we cleared this spring. Planted clover and rye. Reseeded more clover today but need rain. Will cleth it all later to kill weeds and rye and possibly plant some sort of brassicas this fall for first year if doesn't fill in good enough.

Also killed off another acre for a fall plot and killed 1/3 acre of winter rye from last year for winter peas and possibly rye for this fall.

Now just need good rain down here for the year which lately has been no the hardest part

Looks good Sundie, that's a lot of work and maintenance! Yeah where is all our rain? Was really hoping I wouldn't have to water all the trees this much...

Man I really hope I get some rain on my hunting land tonight.. Without it food plot will likely die off. Been forever since we've had rain and it's been really hot...
