Just wondering what everyone's thought is on an anchor. I need one for a new boat just got Alumacraft trophy 205. I'm seeing most people brag up the waterspike? Just want something that will hold and not have to worry about it moving.

Thanks!

I've heard most people can't get the digger anchors to grab the best but then a few say they like them.

I have a waterspike and with the proper length of rope out about five feet of chain, I have never had mine come loose. 20' boat and I've anchored in some pretty big waves on lotw.

What I call a digger looks the same as a water spike maybe I'm confused on the difference

Hey WANNAB

How much rope are you putting out? I have that anchor and have 4-6 feet of chain also and it still doesn't hold well.

They do indeed look similar but heard better reports on the waterspike and people liking those the best. The video describes the best way to use the waterspike. Just was wondering what everyone uses at lake of the woods.

I think you supposed to figure 3 to 1.
Down 10 foot, out 30.
Down 30 out, out 90
