Topic comes up every year. Found this post from last year with a lot of data in it.

I have an 1850 impact. Use a 25lb standard Navy anchor. Last year put 5 foot of stainless chain between the anchor and rope. Set up on a point with 3 foot rollers and 25mph plus winds. Did not budge.

Biggest mistake people make is not putting out enough anchor line. Some say 5 times depth, some say 8 times depth. In the above scenario I had about 80 feet of anchor line out in about 18 FOW.

Honestly I don't know. I set it out and just let out rope until it feels set. I don't use a chain on it.
