I'll be honest- I'm clueless when it comes to this type of fishing. It looks like we are staying in a cabin for a few days within the next few weeks about 1/4 mile south of the river. They have their own beach & I'm wondering if it's worth throwing out a line. I've seen guys fishing right in the mouths of the north shore rivers but wondering if trout migrate through the shallows outside of them. If so, how would you fish for them?

It's always worth it! Kastmaster and Cleo spoons. Cast them as far as you can, and reel in fast. Early mornings are best, but you never know when something will come through.
