Has anyone been out crappie fishing in the Ely area?
I will be heading up this weekend to get boat ready for walleye opener and plan on fishing a few lakes.
Will post report after weekend.

Went up for the night 5/6-5/7, great weather, upper 50's but really chilly still at night (31). Fished a couple small lakes Saturday for crappies and only got 1 11" and some dink perch. Water was 56 degrees in the bays and 52 on the main lake, but with the weather this time of year the main lake will hold true to temp. Went on a bigger lake sunday and the water was 43 degrees in the main lake and 48 in the bays. If the eyes aren't biting this weekend the mouths of the bays may be warms enough for some crappies.
