Looking for a spot to shore fish for some smallmouth on the Mississippi. I'll be up in the Minneapolis area a lot this summer. Where's a place I can target Smallmouth or maybe some eye's? Thanks for your help.

Hidden falls park. You can walk just about all the way up to the ford dam.

Or across the river from Hidden falls is where Minnehaha creek runs into the river and I've done well in the mouth of the creek and up and down the bank from there. Otherwise if you want a nice hike I've done well while walking pike island just south of there. The tip of pike island is where the Sota meets the Sippi. Can catch just about anything down there. If only specifically looking for bass I'd stay closer to Hidden falls or Minnehaha creek.

Let me know if you need parking recommendations and stuff.
