I'm looking in the next couple weeks to put a 10 or a 12 in my boat but had a couple questions for some of you sonar guys... What exactly is chirp and is chirp vs. Non chirp a big deal or not...? Also g2n vs the "standard" si, is that a huge improvement or is it not a huge deal...? Just looking for some detailed info from guys who know first hand before I spend the money. And on a side note, if anyone was getting rid of a helix 10 or helix 12 wiyh SI then by all means send me a pm. Thanks guys

My understanding of chirp is it is a variable frequency that creates a cleaner photo.

Now to G2N and MEGA. GET IT! I upgraded because I wanted the updated Autochart Live (also available on G1 with update) and thought MEGA would be nice but WOW, Oh my god! I am sold on MEGA.
