I took a youngster out and got a nice batch of brookies. Even a few browns. Biggest was 13". Nice to see some of the streams still holding fish. All south of Duluth area on spinners and crawlers.

I have not hit those streams in about 10 years. Boy do they change a lot! Some old spots were worthless and other streams that were bad now held nice fish. We found one great pool and got about 15 off crawlers. That was big fun! They will be going on the grill tonight. No better tasting fish in MN in my opinion.

We have had some years with heavy rains and that causes big changes. I have noticed this on the north shore always. Big differences from the 60's to today. good luck.

They were all brookies and one brown. They spent the day in the cooler on the ride home. The big one was a bland dark old trout and the rest were brilliantly colored when they were caught.
