Ive been up the last 2 weekends. Unfortunately the dock hasn't gone out yet due to needed repair and lack of time for fam to come help fix it. That being said ive been limited to sitting on the shore where dock would usually be. Its better than nothing though. We (my daughter and I) have been hammering the LARGE perch. Weve been getting them between 1 and 4 fow. Of course we've gotten a few of the usual snot rockets to go along with the others and have been bitten off a few times. Im guessing usual snot rockets.
When I took her up to the playground at the north end of the lake at the campground I did see a couple of smallies caught. Water was high and raging coming out of the dam.
Considering going up this weekend but don't know yet with the heat that's forecasted.
Next week Ill be in Alaska for work. Unfortunately I don't think Ill have time to do any fishing but am not totally giving up on the idea yet.

Sounds like fun! I'm always amazed at what can be caught from the dock in 2 fow on that lake. I've pulled in perch, sunnies, crappie, rock bass, pike, and walleye just casting a light jig w/ twister tail down the shoreline.

That lake seems to Bless or Humble most folks.

Some of my best fishing was off the dock, certainly within casting distance from shore.

We finally got the dock in. I spent most of the day working on the cabin and lawn but that's how it goes. It was too hot to fish anyways (at least that's what I told myself.
I still got to sit on the dock from about 5-9am and then again in the evenings . It was never hot and heavy but managed a fair number of nice crappies and awesome time with Lexi.
Not sure if the pics will post but I'll try.

I'm looking at places on BSL do you find good shore fishing in most spots or just certain structure?

Any structure or depth best up there? I know it is a very shallow bite.
