Had about 90 minutes after work today to see if I could get into a few and yep, it's still on.

I had a buddy meet me at the spot for the sundown bite tonight and he popped a jumbo!

A couple more good ones from yesterday. I'm guessing we have 2 weeks, 3 tops before the open water season will be over around the metro. I'm hoping to get out a few more times to find another 29"+ fish before it's all over.

Awesome job Ryan! Care to elaborate at all on the type of structure you are finding them on? If not, no worries. Putting the boat away this week and just might have to make a few trips down to the river to scratch the itch while waiting for ice.

Look for rocks in 5-15 feet of water with some current, a current seam is even better. If you can find baitfish in the area that's better yet.

Work a jig/plastic through the area slowly. 1/4, 3/16, and 1/8 oz jigs depending on the flow in the area you're fishing.Twister tails, moxis, pulse-r's and ringworms are all working. Bright colors. Good luck.

Thanks Trick.

I had a couple hours to burn this afternoon so I gave it another go. It sure was cold out but I was rewarded with a nice 23"er. Unfortunately that was the only fish around willing to bite.
