Any recommendations for places to boat to and eat? Casual style, burgers, etc.? Up for the week of the 4th. Staying in Daisy Bay. Also, how's the fishing - prefer smallies but will be after some eyes also. Thanks

It's been a number of years since I've been to the Big V, but the Vermilion Club is right at the west end of Daisy Bay. They have some good pizza there. You can beach your boat and walk up the path to the restaurant/bar (look at Google Maps to see exactly). Bay View Lodge is in the SW part of Big Bay, straight south of Strawberry Island. It gets pretty busy and loud during the summer, and I would suspect they'd have some stuff going on during the 4th.

We hit the Vermilion Club - fun place and the pizza was great. Never had seen a $50 pizza before (Bamboozeler)-also hit Moosebirds for ice cream on the hottest day, was perfect.

I've heard about the famous "Bamboozler" but have never personally had 1. Did you drive there or go by boat?

First off, the fishing was okay. Fished smallies in the am and walleyes in pm. Caught both every day, but no motherload.
We went to the Verm. Club by car. At this time, they have a fairly small docking area, but I think they may be expanding in the future. Several boats were "spot locked" 50 feet out from the dock.
