Keel guard for aluminum boats?

I'm looking for a way to protect my keel on a crestliner aluminum boat?

I'm going to try truck bed liner called Grizzly Grip because I can get it in a color that I like and comes in a qt. bottle.

Your keel is made of double wall thick aluminum. If the resorts in Canada don't need a keel guard I doubt you do. Now, if you are "blinging" the boat out to show it then go ahead.

It's all scratched up and looks horrible and with a $28,000 boat I'm a little fussy. To this day I don't understand why the boat manufactures paint the bottom of boats leave them just aluminum so then it wouldn't matter and save them money!

How often do you shore land it?? gravel an sand can sand it off.If you dont shore land and its not a refurbished old timer why? Gives it that patina of being well used.
