Heading up to the Northwest part of Rainy Lake in Ontario tomorrow. Any reports on the Walleye and Crappie bite?

I was up on the NW bay of Rainy 3 weeks ago and we did decent for walleyes considering smallmouth were our initial target species. Water was in the mid 60s I believe, and we caught walleyes mainly around 10-12ft. At the time, jigging was better than spinner rigs, but no single bait of choice (minnow, leech, crawler, plastic) was significantly better than others. We did mark some fish deeper and got a couple too, but shallow seemed to be more active. Smallies had finished spawning and were back up on shallow rock structures and shorelines. Topwater was a lot of fun, and x-raps. Didn't try or see any crappies, so can't help you there. Good luck!
