Richard and I just got back of fishing in the NW Angle. We fished Outer Bay,Bishops Bay and Big Narrows. We had to hunt for pods of fish and found fish in 20 to 26 FOW. We did get into some nice pods with quite a few doubles and it was not uncommon to boat +50 fish a day. A lot of 15 to 16 inch fish with some nice fish in the + 20 inch class; our best fish went 23 1/2 inches. We elected to bring back some 17 to 18 inch fish and C&R the + 18 inch fish.
We used a rod BB with a gold or char. smile spinner + a slow roll hook. These rigs are hand made/tied and are good producers.
We encountered some strong winds Tuesday and I got my face washed a few times in the Angle. We also had a strong blow Wednesday for part of the day making for some good shallow water fishing. Water temps. ran from 67 to 69 degrees.
We stayed at the Angle Outpost and had good service and accommodations.

Canada has no incentive to improve the road. If the road made money for them they would improve it.
I have always said they are not socialist but capitalist and money talks.
I hope the bite is on for you as it was for us.
