Man I like this time of year. 2 17 inchers last night on Tonka in 20FOW at dusk with an orange jig tipped with a fathead. Water temp was 63 degrees.

Nice, we were out last night too. We caught one 17" in about 16 FOW, upper lake and we ran around a bit checking out some new-to-us spots for early ice. Buddy got a new Bird on his boat and we were playing with the AutoChart Live.

Surprised at 1) the perch are a little bigger than normal, lots 8 inchers for us, and 2) how many weeds there were up shallow. Thought a few more would have died back by now. Hopefully we'll be back out 1-2 more nights before ice starts .
