Has anyone been out yet on the lakes? Wondering how much ice is out there if it is safe for foot traffic.

On Friday, Fish Lake was covered in ice but I don't think I would walk on it. There were people fishing on Rice Lake. After the warmer couple days we've had it's probably not safe anymore.

Think either Rice or Fish will have enough ice for fishing this weekend? I am thinking about getting out there on Sat.

After this warm weather the past week it's not about how much ice it's about the quality of the ice. I'm hoping after the cold night coming Saturday some lakes will be walkable again. If you go Saturday be very careful. If you do make it out (and back in ) report back.

Made it out for a few hours this evening. Marked quite a few fish but only ended up with one pike. Ice was a solid 4 inches, definitely fishable but we didn't wander too far.

Wondering about ice conditions on the smaller 200-400 acre lakes in the area. Planning on heading up Friday or Saturday. Any info posted here or via PM would be a huge help.
